Mean monthly rainfall and temperature 2001–2020 near where these males were collected, Dominican Republic. MERRA-2 via NASA POWER, for a grid cell averaging 211 m. Wet and dry seasons, from the rainfall at the locality itself.
Etymology
The specific name is a patronym in honor of the Dominican herpetologist Miguel Ángel Landestoy, for his contributions to the knowledge of Antillena's distribution.

Holotype male of Antillena miguelangeli; collected inside a silk-covered burrow on a tree, at around 21:00 hrs.
