Mean monthly rainfall and temperature 2001–2020 near the type locality, 211 m. MERRA-2 via NASA POWER, for a grid cell averaging 279 m. Wet and dry seasons, from the rainfall at the locality itself.

Etymology

The specific name is a matronym in honour of Miriam Costa, who collected the holotype and several other new spider species during several years she worked at Instituto Butantan.
