Abstract
A new species of tarantula, <i>Coremiocnemis tropix</i> (Araneae, Mygalomorphae, Theraphosidae) is described from northern Australia; it is the first record of the genus outside of Malaysia. New hair types on legs of the Selenocosmiinae are figured.
