Abstract

A new species of theraphosid spider in the genus Heterothele Karsch, 1879 is described from Ibadan, Nigeria, Heterothele erdosi sp. nov. (male), representing only the second Heterothele species known from Nigeria. It is the smallest known species of Heterothele.
