Adult males collected

Mean monthly rainfall and temperature 2001–2020 near the type locality. MERRA-2 via NASA POWER, for a grid cell averaging 1068 m. Southern hemisphere — seasons are inverted, so December is midsummer.

Etymology

Honouring the Lapalala Wilderness School, in recognition of their work in promoting and preserving wilderness habitat in the Waterberg. The specific epithet is a noun in apposition.
