Holotype female of Caribothele culebrae, type species of the genus. Not examined by Sherwood et al. (2025); no catalogue number is given beyond the institution. The paper prints the locality as "Cuelbra Island", a transposition of Culebra.

Taxonomic History

1929
Ischnocolus culebrae Petrunkevitch, 1929, later placed in Holothele. Designated type species of Caribothele by Sherwood, Gabriel, Peñaherrera-R., Rollard, Leguin & Privet (2025), who transferred it and four congeners out of Holothele.
