Taxonomic History
- 2022 Korba et al. (2022) removed this species from the synonymy of Ischnocolus valentinus and redescribed both sexes.
- 2026 Ouakri et al. (2026) recorded a male from Anza in the Agadir Ida Outanane Prefecture, at 41 m, taken by hand from a burrow under a stone in argan grove with Euphorbia — part of a survey of the Arganeraie Biosphere Reserve in which it was the only theraphosid found among 39 species from 17 families. The species is endemic to southern Morocco.
