Peñaherrera-R. et al. (2025) confirm two specimens in lot ICN-Ar-7507 as this species, but found the same jar also held an unidentifiable immature and three specimens of an undescribed one, now Psalmopoeus zombie. The emended diagnosis separates the two on embolus curvature and an embolus 6.70× tegulum length, against 5.2× in P. zombie.
