Taxonomic History

  1. Psalmopoeus wallacea Sherwood, Gabriel, Peñaherrera-R., Guerrero-Campoverde, León-E., Falcón-Reibán, Fajardo-Torres, Picón-Rentería & Cisneros-Heredia, 2025
  2. The second species of Psalmopoeus known from Honduras, alongside P. copanensis. The possibility that it is the undescribed female of P. sandersoni — Belize is not far — was considered and rejected on ecoregion and maxillary cuspule counts.
