Collection months of 7 adult male specimen records, against the rainfall where they live
Of 7 adult males, 5 of 7 (71%) fall in the six wettest months, and 2 of 7 (29%) in the six warmest. Collections peak in November. The wetter half of the year is much the closer fit here.
Mean monthly rainfall and temperature 2001–2020 near the type locality, Cachipay, Cundinamarca, 1600 masl. MERRA-2 via NASA POWER, for a grid cell averaging 636 m. Wet and dry seasons, from the rainfall at the locality itself.
Etymology
The specific epithet is a noun in the genitive in honor of Dirk Weinmann, for his contribution to the knowledge of the tarantulas fauna of Colombia.
