Taxonomic History

  1. 1895
    Musagetes andersonii Pocock, 1895
  2. Described as Musagetes andersonii Pocock, 1895 from Mergui, holotype female in the BMNH. Pocock (1900) then spelled it Chilobrachys andersoni. Ono et al. (2026) treat that respelling as an unjustified emendation and a new synonym, so the original andersonii stands.
  3. 1897
    Musagetes rufo-fuscus Thorell, 1897, from Kaw-Kareet in Tenasserim, is a synonym. Recorded in Myanmar from Kayin, Magway and Tanintharyi.
