Etymology
The specific epithet is a noun in apposition, named after the type locality, the Municipality of Libmanan in the Province of Camarines Sur, Philippines.

Holotype male of Orphnaecus libmanan (field no. CSL02-04). Body length 36.02 mm. GenBank COI accessions for the type series: PP778307-PP778312. Note: the type-material section and Fig. 3 caption both give UST-ARC 0133, while the description heading gives UST-ARC 0122; 0133 is followed here.
Paratype female of Orphnaecus libmanan (field no. CSL02-03).

Paratype female of Orphnaecus libmanan (field no. CSL04-01), the specimen described in the paper. Body length 40.36 mm.
