Holotype female of Anqasha lima, examined only through the photographs published by Kaderka (2023) as "Anqasha sp."

Taxonomic History

  2. Described without the authors ever handling the specimen. Kaderka (2023) illustrated and fully described it as "Anqasha sp.", suspecting it was immature; these authors name it under Article 13 of the Code on the strength of that published description, arguing they have never seen an immature theraphosine of that body length with spermathecae so sclerotised — it may simply mature small.
  3. They state plainly that they prefer to examine their own type material and treat this as a special case, the point being that a named species can be investigated where an unnamed one cannot.
