Type Locality: Coronado National Forest, along Bug Spring Trail, Pima Co., Arizona

Collection months of 5 adult male specimen records, against the rainfall where they live
Of 5 adult males, 5 of 5 (100%) fall in the six wettest months, and 1 of 5 (20%) in the six warmest. Collections peak in December. The wetter half of the year is much the closer fit here.

Etymology
The specific epithet is a noun in apposition taken from type locality, the Santa Catalina Mountains near Tucson, Arizona, where this new species appears to be endemic.
