Mean monthly rainfall and temperature 2001–2020 near the type locality, 4 m. MERRA-2 via NASA POWER, for a grid cell averaging 3660 m. Wet and dry seasons, from the rainfall at the locality itself.

Etymology

The specific epithet is dedicated to Dr. Gerardo Lamas Müller, Peruvian entomologist and systematist specialized in butterflies (Lepidoptera), who collected this species approximately fourty years ago.
