Etymology

The genus name is in honor of Pierre Bonnet, French Arachnologist. The species name refers to the dark dark blue color of the femurs (cyaneus, a, um = blue in Latin).

Three males and one female of Bonnetina cyaneifemur, deposited in the LAAHFC and examined as comparative material for the description of B. aviae. Not the type locality, which is in Colima.
