Mean monthly rainfall and temperature 2001–2020 near the type locality, Peru, Loreto, Umaral near Iquitos. MERRA-2 via NASA POWER, for a grid cell averaging 108 m. Wet and dry seasons, from the rainfall at the locality itself.

Etymology

The specific name is derived from the Latin word folium, leaf, and refers to the shape of urtica- ting setal patch on the dorsum of the abdomen, which is similar to oak leaf.
