Mean monthly rainfall and temperature 2001–2020 near the type locality, Peru, Amazonas, Quebrada Putuiman, Rio Marañon. MERRA-2 via NASA POWER, for a grid cell averaging 164 m. Wet and dry seasons, from the rainfall at the locality itself.

Etymology

The specific name is a patronym in ho- nour of Williams Paredes, who found this new species in the Amazon rainforest in northern Peru.
