Collection months of 2 adult male specimen records, against the rainfall where they live
Mean monthly rainfall and temperature 2001–2020 near where these males were collected, Peru. MERRA-2 via NASA POWER, for a grid cell averaging 3960 m. Wet and dry seasons, from the rainfall at the locality itself.
Etymology
Named in honour and in loving memory of Ignacio Enrique Quispe-Escobedo, father of the first author, with whom he spoke a great deal about the discovery of this species.
Specimen Records (6)
Holotype male of Kiskalla ignacioi. Found under a stone with no apparent retreat. Total length 11.8 mm. Source of the palpal bulb and tibial apophysis figures, and photographed alive in the field.
Paratype female of Kiskalla ignacioi, same locality and date as the holotype. Found under a stone inside a burrow without discernible webbing. Total length 19.10 mm; source of the female description and of the spermathecae figure.
Paratype male of Kiskalla ignacioi. Differs slightly from the holotype in the cymbial projection, the tegular projection and the serration of the subapical keel; figured separately for that reason.
Two paratype females of Kiskalla ignacioi, same data as the paratype male MUBI 313.

Taxonomic History
- 2026 Kiskalla ignacioi Quispe-Colca, Ferretti, Chaparro, Ochoa & West, 2026 — type species of Kiskalla.
- Known from Corani in Carabaya, Puno, between 4,360 and 4,570 m, in puna grassland with tussock and cryoturbated ground, always among rocky outcrops or scattered stones. Both holotype and paratype female were found under stones, hers over a shallow burrow with no webbing at the mouth. Pompilid wasps were recorded hunting in the same ground.
- The authors note that two medium-scale open-pit mining projects are planned in the area of occurrence.
