Etymology

Named in honour of Yeison A. Calizaya Melo, a close friend of the first author, who regards him as a younger brother.

Holotype female of Kiskalla yeisoni, and the only described specimen of the species. Total length 15.78 mm. Her burrow ran 15-20 cm below a rock with no webbing at the entrance.

Taxonomic History

Kiskalla yeisoni Quispe-Colca, Ferretti, Chaparro, Ochoa & West, 2026
Known only from Putina, San Antonio de Putina, Puno, at 4,000 m: scrub and grassland beside relict Polylepis woodland, with cropland and grazing by cattle, sheep and camelids close by. The holotype's burrow ran 15-20 cm down under a rock, with no webbing at the entrance.
