Etymology

The specific epithet refers to the type locality, the Camurujipe farm, a RPPN (Private Natural Heritage Reserve), in the Municipality of Mata de São João, State of Bahia, Brazil, where the types were collected.

Taxonomic History

Included in the morphometric analysis of Marquezin-Gomes et al. (2026), which found no measurable shape or size character separating Lasiodora species from Lasiocyano sazimai. The genera remain distinguishable only on stridulatory setae, present here on coxae I–II, and on colour.
