Mean monthly rainfall and temperature 2001–2020 near where these males were collected, Panama. MERRA-2 via NASA POWER, for a grid cell averaging 29 m. Wet and dry seasons, from the rainfall at the locality itself.

Etymology

A patronym honouring Rubén Blades (b. 1948), the Panamanian singer and composer.

Taxonomic History

Ami bladesi Pérez-Miles, Gabriel & Gallon, 2008, described from a single male from Isla Colón, Panama. Moved to Neischnocolus when Pérez-Miles et al. (2019) synonymised Ami with it.
