Collection months of 1 adult male specimen record, against the rainfall where they live

Adult males collected

Mean monthly rainfall and temperature 2001–2020 near where these males were collected, Ecuador. MERRA-2 via NASA POWER, for a grid cell averaging 2364 m. Wet and dry seasons, from the rainfall at the locality itself.

Etymology

A patronym honouring the Italian entomologist Sandro Ruffo (1915-2010), curator of zoology at the Verona Natural History Museum, in recognition of his support in acquiring the land that became the Otonga reserve where the species was found.
