Etymology

A noun in apposition referring to the type locality. The Tiputini Biodiversity Station sits on the northern bank of the Tiputini River inside the Yasuni Biosphere Reserve, run by the Universidad San Francisco de Quito - one of the most important research sites in the upper Amazon basin and among the most biodiverse places on Earth.
