Etymology

A noun in apposition from the Spanish "contra" and "mina", against mining, in support of the local people's fight against mining near where the species was collected.

Pamphobeteus contramina Dupérré & Tapia, 2025
The species on which the type Ig urticating seta is founded — a new variant of type I in which the C2 section is absent, so that the B and C1 sections touch. Both sexes carry it, at only ~143 µm, on the dorso-anterior, dorso-lateral and dorso-central abdomen; type III setae sit dorso-posteriorly.
