Collection months of 1 adult male specimen record, against the rainfall where they live
Mean monthly rainfall and temperature 2001–2020 near where these males were collected, Colombia. MERRA-2 via NASA POWER, for a grid cell averaging 2297 m. Wet and dry seasons, from the rainfall at the locality itself.
Specimen Records (1)
Holotype male of Tandayarachne pijaos, described as Ami pijaos. Pérez-Miles et al. (2008) give ICN-Ar-1995 and 3 February 2002; Peñaherrera-R. & Guayasamin (2025) print ICN-Ar-1994 and 3 March 2002 under Type material, but cite ICN-Ar-1995 themselves in the complementary description and the caption of fig. 18. The original description is followed here.

Taxonomic History
- 2008 Ami pijaos Jimenez & Bertani, 2008 — the holotype male misidentified at genus level. Transferred to Neischnocolus by Pérez-Miles et al. (2019) when Ami was synonymised, and to Tandayarachne by Peñaherrera-R. & Guayasamin (2025) on palpal bulb and cymbial morphology.
- The species also lost its female: the paratype was found not to be conspecific and is now the holotype of Neischnocolus emergens. The two had been collected hundreds of kilometres apart, in the Magdalena valley and at Ibagué.
