Adult males collected

Mean monthly rainfall and temperature 2001–2020 near where these males were collected, Peru. MERRA-2 via NASA POWER, for a grid cell averaging 2454 m. Wet and dry seasons, from the rainfall at the locality itself.

Etymology

The specific name is a noun in apposition, taken from the type locality: the Choquequirao Regional Conservation Area, a protected area in the Cusco region of south-central Peru that protects a variety of Andean ecosystems and includes the Choquequirao Archaeological Park, an Inca settlement from the fifteenth century.
