Taxonomic History

  1. The World Spider Catalog carries the species as Urupelma lamarense. The epithet is an adjective and Urupelma is neuter, so the published -ensis ending is corrected to -ense for gender agreement. The name used here follows the catalogue; the paper, and the ZooBank act registered for it, both read lamarensis.
  2. The description is registered in ZooBank as act urn:lsid:zoobank.org:act:2CD0EA99-B2E0-42AE-999B-09B16A84CB27.
