Mean monthly rainfall and temperature 2001–2020 near the type locality, Peru, Cusco, La Convención, Megantoni district. MERRA-2 via NASA POWER, for a grid cell averaging 458 m. Wet and dry seasons, from the rainfall at the locality itself.

Etymology

The specific epithet is derived from a name of the Peruvian district in the Cusco Department, in which the species was found.
