All 2 were collected in October 2018, so the bars show when collecting took place, not when males are active.

Etymology
The specific name is derived from the type locality near the Pampas River, tributary of the Apurímac.

Immature male, non-type.
Immature female, non-type. Its spermathecae and habitus are figured by Kaderka (2026), the first published illustration of the female of this species.

- 2023 Urupelma pampas Kaderka, Lüddecke, Řezáč, Řezáčová & Hüsser, 2023 - described from a male holotype taken between Ocros and Chincheros in Apurímac, Peru, at 2,431 m.
- 2026 Kaderka (2026) figured the female for the first time, both its spermathecae and its habitus, from immature specimens dissected from exuviae rather than killed for the purpose. He also emended the diagnosis under the reworked keel homologies.
