Abstract
Description of Acanthoscurria transamazonica from a single male collected at Marabá, Pará, on the Trans-Amazonian Highway in January 1972 by G. Ranzani and M. Camponez do Brasil Sobrinho; type in the Departamento de Zoologia, ESALQ "Luiz de Queiroz", Piracicaba. Latin description, measurements, comparison with A. paulensis, and one photograph of the male. Now a junior synonym of A. geniculata (Paula et al. 2014).
