Mean monthly rainfall and temperature 2001–2020 near the type locality, Cotopaxi Province, La Maná, 203 m. MERRA-2 via NASA POWER. Wet and dry seasons, from the rainfall at the locality itself.
Etymology
A noun in apposition from the type locality, la reserva Jardín de los Sueños, one of the last remaining foothill Chocó forests, for its work preserving what is left of Ecuador's biodiversity.
Specimen Records (2)
Holotype male of Yunka suenos, and so the name-bearing type of the genus (QCAZ). Total length 23.90 mm.
Paratype female of Yunka suenos, hand collected at the reserve the species is named for.
